Bruce Springsteen lançou um cover da faixa de 1962 de Ben E. King “Don’t Play That Song (You Lied)”. Ele serve como o terceiro single de seu próximo álbum de covers de soul Só os fortes sobrevivem. Assim como os dois primeiros singles, a nova música chega com um videoclipe dirigido por Thom Zimny. Assista abaixo.

“Don’t Play That Song (You Lied)” foi co-escrito pelo co-fundador da Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun, e pela esposa de Ben E. King, Betty Nelson. Junto com o icônico “Stand by Me”, ele apareceu no álbum de 1962 de King. Não toque essa música! O single foi coberto por Aretha Franklin, Johnny Hallyday, Sam Moore e outros.

Só os fortes sobrevivem será lançado em 11 de novembro pela Columbia. Inclui as versões de Springsteen de “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)”, “Nightshift” e muito mais.
