Among the many currently developing projects set in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is a mobile RPG. Thanks to a new leaked video, fans now have an early look at what Assassin’s Creed Jade gameplay will look like.
Footage from the project recently surfaced on social media and is reported to come from the game’s early playtesting sessions. The video itself is only about two and a half minutes long and shows footage that was captured on an Apple device. While not the very first footage from Assassin’s Creed Jade a brief teaser trailer shown off earlier this year), the new footage does show how combat in the upcoming mobile title might work.

It’s unclear whether or not the final product of the game will look anything like the initial leaked footage, but the game does look surprisingly polished for a project that is seemingly early on in its development. Assassin’s Creed Jade was originally announced during a Ubisoft presentation earlier this year and will be the first open-world game for mobile devices set in the Assassin’s Creed universe, and also its second that takes place in China, with the other being 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China.
Ubisoft is also developing a multiplayer Assassin’s Creed, a full-blown RPG set in Japan codenamed Assassin’s Creed Red, a mysterious entry codenamed Assassin’s Creed Hexe, a VR entry, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will be in Baghdad and call back to the series’ roots.
