Amazon Giving Away Mass Effect, Star Wars Games, and More for Prime Day

[ad_1]

While efforts like Luna and New World haven’t taken Amazon to the top of the gaming industry, the company is still very good at distribution. As part of Prime Day on July 12, the storefront will reward subscribers with a bundle of big games from Electronic Arts. There will also be another collection of smaller indie titles available to claim, adding up to over 30 games that are free for the taking.

The complete list will not be entirely new for anyone regularly picking up the monthly offerings from Prime Gaming. Still, it includes plenty of notable titles even outside the EA offerings. SNK heavy hitters like Samurai Shodown II and several King of Fighters are among the “indie” games, as are well-received newer games like Serial Cleaner and Hue. The list of available games is below, but it’s not confirmed that this will be the full list.

EA Games:

  • Grid Legends
  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition
  • Need for Speed Heat

Star Wars Games:

  • Star Wars Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast
  • Star Wars Republic Commando

Indie Games:

  • 10 Second Ninja X
  • 8Doors: Arum’s Afterlife Adventure
  • Addling Adventures
  • Bang Bang Racing
  • Clouds & Sheep 2
  • Death Squared
  • Fatal Fury Special
  • Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
  • Gone Viral
  • Hue
  • Manual Samuel
  • Metal Slug 2
  • Metal Unit

If this giveaway works like the other Prime Gaming offerings, those looking to play most of these games will have to download Amazon’s launcher software. Some titles are available through Origin, GOG, and other storefronts, and that’s probably where the more prominent games will end up. Indie games will start showing up on the Prime Gaming website on June 21, while the bigger hits will appear on Prime Day, which is July 12.
