It’s not terribly uncommon anymore to get teasers for teasers to further entice viewers. Sometimes it seems like a futile marketing move, but other times, the dangling carrot works in spades. That goes especially so for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which Twitter Movies teased yesterday. Now, we have our first true teaser for Glass Onion, the next installment in the Knives Out series.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery moves the location from Massachusetts to Greece, where a billionaire (Edward Norton) has gathered some of his closest friends. And yes, somebody turns up dead. This puts private detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) on the case.

Blanc’s character development has been compared to that of other famous British detectives by director Rian Johnson. “It’s not very interesting to me, the notion of building out Benoit’s life. Like with Poirot and Miss Marple, what’s fun is how the elements of Benoit’s character reveal themselves through his act of solving each one of these mysteries.”

After getting our first look at the movie just a couple of weeks ago, fans of the first Knives Out were itching for more. Now that the teaser for Glass Onion is out, the hype has undoubtedly built into a “Amazing!…But when can we get the trailer?!” vibe.

Director Rian Johnson Johnson previously earned an Oscar nomination for his Knives Out screenplay. In addition to Craig and Norton, the stacked cast for Glass Onion includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Ethan Hawke, and more.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this Saturday. Our very own Chris Bumbray will be at the premiere so stay tuned for our review!

Following its premiere, Glass Onion will hit select theaters in November before finally reaching Netflix on December 23.
