Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson are no strangers to collaborating on films, and according to Hart, the duo is already discussing what the future holds for their pairing.

Speaking to Variety during the red carpet for the 2023 Academy Awards, Hart was asked when he and Johnson will be working together again. Hart teased that he had just spoken to him and that the pair has “the ball rolling” on some ideas, namely another Jumanji film.

“We’re going to have to do it soon,” said Hart. “I talked to him the day before yesterday. Right now, we got the ball rolling on some big ideas…We’re talking about, of course, another Jumanji. That’s been a conversation. [We’re] just figuring out the thing that can act as what would or could be the final chapter of he and I. We feel we need something big to put our duo to an end and not just leave it undone like something that we can say, ’this is going to be our last and final movie.”

When asked why another film has to mean the end of the pairing on the big screen, Hart was quick to correct himself, saying that it’s just something the pair are talking about. Hart went on to note that it could be something like another franchise or “something big,” but it’s unknown as of now.

“We’re talking about it. It could be another franchise. It could be something big. but [we’re] trying to figure out what that thing is. That’s the focus point right now,” Hart said.

The latest Jumanji film, 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level, was the second film in the rebooted Jumanji series and starred Johnson, Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black. As a whole, Hart and Johnson have starred in several films together, including both Jumanji films, 2016’s Central Intelligence, and 2022’s DC League of Super-Pets.
