MANILA, Philippines—Stephen Loman just moved closer to a ONE bantamweight championship shot as he leaped a spot in the fighter rankings.

Loman climed from the third seed to being the second-ranked fighter in the bantamweight division.

Team Lakay, who shared the update on its Facebook page,  warned current champion Fabricio Andrade, saying that “the Sniper is coming.”

Loman is currently holding a 17-2-0 record with his latest victory coming at the expense of former number two contender Bibiano Fernandes in ONE Fight Night 4.

Just recently, the vacated bantamweight strap found a new home in Andrade after he defeated John Lineker last month by way of corner stoppage in the fourth round.

Immediately after the bout, an emotional Andrade called out the Filipino combat fighter.

“Loman, you want this? Come get it.”

Currently, the champion has a one-up over Loman in terms of record, holding a 20-3-0 with seven of those wins coming by way of technical knockout.

In the middle of Loman and Andrade is Lineker, who already fought for the belt twice, further signaling the near title shot for the Team Lakay competitor.
