Warner Bros. TV Group boss Channing Dungey has revealed that the company is closing a deal with Amazon for its animated DC content.

Speaking in the U.K. during the recent TV conference Content London (via Variety), Dungey confirmed that Amazon was close to making a deal that would see some of its DC-branded animations appear on Prime Video.

“One of the interesting things that’s exciting for me at this moment, the approach of the previous management was much more like ‘Everything has to stay in house, we don’t want anything to go outside,’” Dungey said. “David Zaslav has been much more open to our exploring all of our animated IP and being able to do it on different platforms. Certainly, HBO Max is going to be our first stop but we’re already in the process of closing a big deal with Amazon that’s going to feature some of our DC-branded content in animation.”

While Dungey wasn’t incredibly specific about the move, this does seem to be in line what how Warner Bros. Discovery has been operating since new CEO David Zaslav has taken over.

Since Zaslav stepped in, Warner Bros. has begun looking for other streaming platforms to pick up some of its previous animated content in the works. These films include the highly anticipated Batman: Caped Crusader, Merry Little Batman, and other projects that aren’t related to DC.
