On the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel, we will be posting one full movie every day of the week, giving viewers the chance to watch them entirely free of charge. So far, the Free Movie of the Day series has primarily consisted of horror movies – we’ve shared The House on Pine StreetTrace, The Last Possession, and got our Fright Fright Nights series started with Hell House LLC. But we’ve also branched out of the horror genre a couple times, too. There was the comedy Garlic & Gunpowder, and yesterday’s free movie was the documentary Boggy Creek Monster. Today, we have another horror story for your viewing pleasure: writer/director Mark Dossett’s 2014 feature debut The Torment of Laurie Ann Cullom! You can watch the movie over on the YouTube channel linked above, or you can just watch it in the embed at the top of this article.

The Torment of Laurie Ann Cullom has the following synopsis:

After being attacked a year ago, Laurie now suffers from extreme agoraphobia. Over the course of three fateful days, she soon realizes is that there may be more to fear from staying inside her own home than from going out into the world when an intruder begins to torment her.

That synopsis neglects to mention one element of the film that might make it more intriguing for some viewers, the fact that The Torment of Laurie Ann Cullom is set “in 1988, long before cell phones and the internet were common household items.”

The film stars Vicky Schomp, Dave Schomp, Jason Abbott, Jacob Bradley, Pat Schwehm, Connie Stewart, and Mark Dossett himself, with Shannon Scott as Laurie Ann Cullom.

So take a look at The Torment of Laurie Ann Cullom – it’s free! – and let us know what you thought of it by leaving a comment below or on the YouTube page.
