The new extended cut of the film, which is officially titled Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version, came in celebration of the Spider-Man character, which recently turned 60. In a video posted on the film’s Twitter account, actors Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, and Andrew Garfield — who have all played Spider-Man and appeared in the film together — announced the news, along with sharing a brief clip of one of the extended scenes.

It’s unclear just how much more will be added to the film, but Sony did note that plenty of deleted scenes and other footage had not made the cut of the original film, which clocked in at around 148 minutes. After a stellar showing at the box office and overall critical praise of the film, however, it seems like Sony and Marvel Studios are finally ready to share a longer version of the film.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is led by Tom Holland as the beloved titular wall-crawler, along with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. It was directed by Jon Watts from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Tony Revolori, and Hannibal Buress (Tag) along with Sony’s Spider-Man Universe alums Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans.
