Fast and Furious 10, Jason Momoa, villain

The Fast Saga is gearing up for the endgame. Fast and Furious 10 will be the first of a two-part finale that will bring the franchise to a close. Much of the original cast will be returning, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Sung Kang, but it was also revealed that Jason Momoa would also be joining the cast of the villain, something he’s rarely had the opportunity to do in his career. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Jason Momoa teased that his villain is “amazing,” yet “ornery” and “misunderstood.” He also confirmed that he isn’t the only villain to appear in Fast and Furious 10.

Jason Momoa won’t be the only villain in Fast and Furious 10 as he told ET that Charlize Theron will be returning as Cipher, something that has been expected but not confirmed.

I get to shoot with some really cool people that I have never — I get to work with Charlize [Theron] first up, which I’m really excited about. She’s amazing. Then I get to go to some cool places. Obviously, work with the whole cast — most of the cast.

Momoa added that fans can expect plenty of action involving his character. “I’m sure that’s why they hired me,” Momoa joked. “But yeah, I’m excited I’m working with Vin. I’m excited I’m working with Charlize.” Charlize Theron first appeared as Cipher in The Fate of the Furious and reprised the role in F9, which found her character escaping justice again. Jason Momoa has previously teased that his character is a “very flamboyant bad boy.” Momoa won’t be the only new addition as The Suicide Squad‘s Daniela Melchior is also in talks to join. Justin Lin will be returning to direct the final two films of the Fast Saga from a script by Chris Morgan.

Fast and Furious 10 will start shooting this spring in London for a May 19, 2023 release.
