On the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel, we will be posting one full movie every day of the week, giving viewers the chance to watch them entirely free of charge. The Free Movie of the Day we have for you today is the 2017 backwoods slasher Red Eye, and you can watch it over on the YouTube channel linked above, or you can just watch it in the embed at the top of this article.

Directed by Tristan Clay, who also wrote the screenplay with Destinie Orndoff, Red Eye has the following synopsis:

“Red Eye” is a legend Gage Barker use to be told as a kid. When he found out there was some truth behind this legend, he gathered a group of friends to hike in the backwoods of Black Creek, WV to help him use this as the basis for his first film project. To what extent will they go to make this project a reality? Will their passion bleed through? Or cross the line?

The film stars Jessica Cameron, Heather Dorff, Clayton Abbott, Scott King, Hayden Wilberger, and co-writer Destinie Orndoff. Clay and Orndoff also produced the movie together.

Clay directed several short films before making his feature debut with Red Eye. Since making this movie, he and Orndoff have also collaborated on the Satanic cult horror project Inverted, which counts original The Hills Have Eyes cast member Susan Lanier as part of its cast. There isn’t any release information available for Inverted at this time, but we’re looking forward to checking it out.

In the meantime, take a look at Red Eye – it’s free! – then let us know what you thought of it by leaving a comment below or on the YouTube page.

The movies that have previously been featured as the Free Movies of the Day can be found at THIS LINK, and also on the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel.
