The first Shaman King Flowers teaser trailer has been released, giving fans a preview of the sequel series’ anime adaptation. This adaptation follows up on the 2021 Shaman King adaptation that aired on TV Tokyo in Japan and Netflix internationally.

Shaman King Flowers is set to debut in January 2024 and will continue the story of the Asakura family, with previous protagonists Yoh Asakura and Anna Kyoyama’s son Hana Asakura being the main character. The trailer shows Hana integrating with Amidamaru, who was Yoh’s spirit companion in the original series.

Takeshi Furuta is once again set to direct at Bridge after directing 2021’s Shaman King series. The main cast for the series was also revealed and is as follows (via Anime News Network):

  • Yōko Hikasa as Hana Asakura
  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru
  • Sumire Uesaka as Alumi Niumbirch
  • Shun Horie as Yohane Asakura
  • Michiko Kaiden as Gakko Ibuki
  • Romi Park as Tao Men

Shaman King Flowers was first published in 2012 and was serialized in JumpX magazine until 2014. A sequel series to Flowers, titled Shaman King The Super Star, followed in 2018 and has been serialized in Shonen Magazine Edge magazine since. Each of these Shaman King series was created by Hiroyuki Takei.
