Moon Knight, season 2, Oscar Isaac

Although Moon Knight was originally developed as a limited series, rumours soon spread that Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley might return for more. Those rumours gained a little steam today when a video was posted on TikTok featuring director Mohamed Diab and Oscar Isaac teasing Moon Knight season 2.

TikTok user hayaattiaaa asked, “The question on everyone’s mind: is there a Season 2?” The camera panned over to Mohamed Diab, who said, “Of Moon Knight?” before shifting over to Oscar Isaac, who teased, “Why else would we be in Cairo?” Diab then shared the video on Twitter with a captain reading, “Moon Knight season 2?

The first season came to an end with Khonshu releasing Marc Spector and Steven Grant from his service, but a mid-credits scene revealed that a third alter, Jake Lockley, continued to work with Khonshu, where he seemingly killed Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke). Plenty of seeds were planted that could be picked up in another Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Mohamed Diab told ComicBook.com just a few months ago that he wasn’t sure about the second season of Moon Knight but added that if the series does return, he would like to focus on Jake Lockley.

If it was for me, I would start with Jake Lockley. I want to see his world. Everyone is so intrigued about him and [I want to] see what happens in between those blinks and who he is and what does he love and who does he love. It’s very interesting for me. But I love that the small things that we put all through the episode made people, every episode, waiting for Jake, waiting for Jake, waiting for Jake. But I think it, he was introduced in the right time at the very end, knowing that con should still have a hold on them.

Moon Knight followed Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

It remains to be seen whether this is true, but would you like to see Moon Knight season 2?
