HBO Max subscribers can take a walk through Middle-Earth this week.

On Thursday, Aug. 25., the streaming service will add the extended version of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which features 25 minutes more than the theatrical cut. Directed by Peter Jackson, the movie saw Ian McKellen returning as Gandalf the Grey, with Martin Freeman in the central role of Bilbo Baggins and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. The international ensemble cast was led by Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Stephen Fry, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, and Orlando Bloom as Legolas. The film also stars Mikael Persbrandt, Sylvester McCoy, Aidan Turner, Dean O’Gorman, Graham McTavish, Adam Brown, Peter Hambleton, John Callen, Mark Hadlow, Jed Brophy, William Kircher, Stephen Hunter, Ryan Gage, John Bell, Manu Bennett, and Lawrence Makoare.

On the same day, HBO Max will also air the premiere of House of Ho Season 2. The reality show follows the Ho family, one of the wealthiest Vietnamese American families living in Houston, Texas. It stars Binh Ho, Hue Ho, Judy Ho, Lesley Ho, Washington Ho, Aunt Tina, and Cousin Sammy as themselves.
