With the ongoing Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes, fans wonder whether any more Marvel movies are coming out in 2023. Are there any Marvel Cinematic Universe films premiering this year? What about the Sony movies based on Marvel characters, the so-called Sony’s Spider-Man Universe? Here’s what you need to know.

List of Marvel Movies coming out in 2023

Only two more movies featuring Marvel characters are set to premiere in the upcoming months. Still, Marvel fans can’t really complain. 2023 has been a good year for Marvel movies, whose list extended with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, in addition to all the TV series.

The MCU is currently in Phase 5, and the upcoming The Marvels is expected to bring forward the story. As for the SSU, it’s still exploring the whys and the hows of some Spider-Man villains like Kraven The Hunter, Venom, Morbius, and so on, probably heading to the foundation of a supervillain team, which might likely be the Sinister Six.

Will there be a new Avengers movie in 2023?

There is no Avengers movie coming out in 2023.

It will take a while before fans can watch another Avengers film. The fifth installment in the uber-popular superhero movie series is titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and is coming out only on May 1, 2026, after being delayed a whole year. The official reason has never been disclosed, but reports indicated it was due to the ongoing writer’s strike.
