Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner, Clint Barton, MCU

Actor Jeremy Renner is in “critical but stable” condition following an accident while plowing snow in Nevada.

According to Jeremy Renner’s publicist, “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.” She added, “His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

While Renner did suffer a “traumatic injury” and remains hospitalized, the reports of the actor “receiving excellent care” and also being in “stable” condition do offer hope for a recovery.

There has been major snowfall around the Reno area, where the accident occurred and which Renner lives not far from. As per the Reno Gazette-Journal, around 35,000 homes around Washoe and surrounding counties have lost power.

Jeremy Renner was the only individual involved in the accident, the details of which have yet to be fully disclosed.

Jeremy Renner has been a consistent presence in the movie business since breaking out with 2008’s The Hurt Locker, earning a Best Actor Oscar nomination. His only other nomination so far came two years later for Ben Affleck’s crime movie The Town, nabbing recognition under the Best Supporting Actor category.

Renner has of course been a key component of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Clint Barton/Hawkeye as part of the Avengers in four MCU movies (not including two cameos). In 2021, he got his own spinoff series, Hawkeye, on Disney+. The response has been strong all around, with particular praise going towards the cast, characters and visual effects.

As it turns out, television has been good to Jeremy Renner. He currently stars in Paramount+’s  Mayor of Kingstown, which “follows the powerful McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.” Season two will debut on January 15th.

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for Jeremy Renner. Send your best wishes to the actor in the comments section below.
