Hogwarts Legacy has long since had a holiday 2022 release window, but, like many games, it has now been delayed. However, Avalanche Software now has an exact release date for players to look forward to. Hogwarts Legacy will come out on February 10, 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Switch port will come out an unknown later date.

The studio revealed this in a tweet and said that it needed a “little more time to deliver the best possible game experience,” a popular reason for many delays. Community Manager Chandler Wood also said as much in a short video on the developer’s Twitter account.

Avalanche has slowly been revealing bits about the role-playing game set in the Harry Potter universe, but there hasn’t been much outside of extremely short teases and the footage found in a recent AutoDesk presentation. Nothing pertained to its previous holiday release window, which was quickly approaching.
