Daniel Kaluuya wants Snoop Dogg and Bill Murray to join the Spider-Verse for the next installment…fo shizzle!

The Spider-Verse is bursting with Spider-People and the series itself has attracted some big names. And with so many out there – Across the Spider-Verse reportedly had nearly 300 variations – there are plenty of opportunities to add some famous faces (well, voices) to the mix. For Spider-Verse co-star Daniel Kaluuya, who voiced Spider-Punk aka Hobart “Hobie” Brown, there are two that immediately come to mind.

When asked who he wants to have join the Spider-Verse, Daniel Kaluuya didn’t hesitate to name his ideal additions. “Snoop Dogg! Spider-Dogg – D, O, double G! He would shut the shit down. He’s got the best voice in modern society, let’s keep it real. Or, Bill Murray – I don’t know how you get him in it but my guy Bill has got to be involved as well. If I could work with Bill Murray in any shape or form, I’d be a happy man.” Murray does have ties to Marvel through the MCU, playing Lord Krylar in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Daniel Kaluuya isn’t the only cast member who wants to recruit new Spider-People into the Spider-Verse, as Oscar Isaac (Spider-Man 2099 aka Miguel O’Hara) thinks Pedro Pascal would make a perfect “cranky, old Spider-Person.” Pascal, Snoop and Bill Murray? Now that’s a compelling cast!

On his own Spider-Verse character, Daniel Kaluuya said he knew there was a big enough fanbase and that it helped him be pumped about the project. “When I started the process, I went to Spotify and typed in the word ‘Spider-Punk’. I just knew that some fan out there would have made something! So, I found a couple of playlists and I would just listen to them, be like vibing out, getting the energy. It was interesting to see what fans of the comics felt about him, the purists. I listened to the songs and anything I would engage with, I’d listen to it again.”

Expectedly, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is doing remarkably well with critics and audiences, boasting a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and raking in over $610 million worldwide at the box office so far.
