Chainsaw Man Episode 3 Recap

Denji and Power get in trouble because Power interfered with a civilian devil hunter’s job. Power claims Denji ordered him to kill the Sea Cucumber Devil, and Denji calls her a liar. They start arguing, and Makima says she wants to see them successfully working together. While getting drinks at a vending machine, Denji shares that drinking juice is already a luxury for him. Therefore, it’ll be difficult if they get in trouble again. Power then shares her love for cats and the story of her pet cat, Meowy. Denji thinks it’s dumb and says that he’ll do anything to cop a feel. Power offers her chest in exchange for Denji saving Meowy from a Devil.

Meanwhile, a group of men discusses current affairs with Makima. They ask about the new hires at Public Safety. On the car ride, Aki wonders why Makima finds Denji interesting. Makima explains devil names and how powerful they can get. However, Aki thinks Denji won’t be useful to the group because of his motivation. Elsewhere, Denji and Power arrive near the abandoned house. She hits Denji in the head and offers him as food to the Bat Devil. However, the Bat Devil is disgusted after drinking Denji’s blood. Power claims humans are foolish since Denji believed her story.

On the other hand, the Bat Devil prepares to feast on other humans. Power demands Meowy back, but the Bat Devil swallows Meowy as punishment for Denji’s blood. Power reminisces on her bond with Meowy and tells Denji she understands how he felt when he talked about Pochita. The Bat Devil then swallows Power before flying away to look for more delicious blood. Denji hangs on to it and turns into the Chainsaw Devil. Denji fights the Bat Devil, and it wonders why Denji is saving humans when he’s a devil. Despite getting blasted away, Denji is determined to cut open the Bat Devil so he can cop a feel.
